Instead, Fujimaki decides to base his manga around bullshit pseudoscience. What struggles could they possibly face?īut nooooooo. Does he go to a "Buzzer Beater" route, where the characters play against the best competition that the universe can offer in an Intergalactic Basketball League? He might as well have, considering that his characters would (or should, in a moderately realistic world) obliterate any competition that Earth has to offer. When one of the most important aspects of a sports manga is growth and development, one has to wonder where the author will go from that point. The author STARTS this manga off with 5 characters, all high school freshmen (15 years old), who are undisputedly better than Michael Jordan in his prime. If you're looking for something similar, you might too!Įven the most casual of sports fans will know who Michael Jordan is. What I'm looking for is a sports manga (aka fiction), meaning, I'm looking for weird abilities and traits, and looking into the relationships between the players and the new friendships/rivalries they make. It doesn't have to be 'realistic', especially because if I wanted realistic, I'd go and watch the sports channel. Low-key romance, not very important or significant to the story. The characters influence each other and develop further than their original base, and as a bonus, tons of guys! The girls in the manga are not annoying, and they also have their own personality and importance. ^^ The characters are varied with their own backstory and motivation, and they all have their own "super powers" and it's fun to see them battle it out. If you're looking for a fun sports manga, this can be it (think Prince of Tennis, without the useless girls).
I'm sure you have your preferred one out there. So I don't take them much.If you're looking for a realistic sport's manga, this isn't it. My 3p are bad tho.I score like 20-40% open. I have a playstyle close to Aomine from KnB.įree style, good in dribbling, hookshots, fadeaway, stepbacks and mid/close range. I am not a player that much anymore, I retiered in 2018 for good, just 3x3 tournaments and honor touranemts (aka Memorial touranments or Charity tournaments). Lucky you we are closed down in my country, can't wait for summer tho and that 3x3 tournaments. I started around 2014 and played ever since. I just came back from playing on a court lol. True I guess he meant offensive interfering which is same as goalting but for offensive palyers.īut awesome there is another basketball player in this forum xDĪnyway yeah the tipin is something that happens a lot but sometimes they can call offensive interference when you like touch the rim first or the net first before the ball. Lmao Goaltending is when the defensive team after the ball was shot and was clearly going in getting touched.
Depending on the league and rules but 90% of the time since the ball was going out it is not goaltending, plus he didnt touch the rim before the ball or the net so it's all clean in my eyes. That rule is mostly used only if the ball is gowing towards the basket, this would be a deadball in most cases and it's the refs decision. Sidebar but the beginning with Madoka missing that shot in the girls Inter High made me really sad. Now going into the second quarter hopefully Kuzu is more cohesive. The difference in skill between them is vast as we heard Momochi say. Got really close with a lot of great plays against Kuzu and mostly Chiaki being outdone by Takahashi.
Fun to see Yasu lockdown on defense with that foul, dude missed the shots too so it was great, giving Yasu that big grin. they're pretty similar to our Kuzu bois in they have a mixed group of experience on the team.
This team they're facing Shinjo, is legit. Good to see Momoharu finally score after all this time, might've been goaltending but whatever. His passes are going far wide way too much of the time here, that last one being behind Tobi yet still somehow he made it work. He's way off rhythm like Nanao said which is in turn effecting the whole team. First time we've really seen him struggle in a game since he's been so smooth on the court until now.
